What Volleyball Score Keeper+ does

Rule presets

Each preset carries its own numbers, so the scoreboard is right without being told. Anything unusual can be saved as a named custom rule set.

A set is won at its target with a two-point margin and not before, so 25-24 is set point rather than a finished set. The deciding set uses its own shorter target. Coaching the rotation as well as the score? Volleyball Rotations Coach plans lineups and catches overlaps before the referee does.

Frequently asked questions

Does it handle sets, or just count points?

Sets, properly. It applies the side-out, tracks who serves, enforces the two-point margin, uses the deciding set’s own target, tallies sets won and ends the match at the right moment. That is the whole reason it exists: general-purpose scoreboards give you two numbers and leave the volleyball to you.

Which rules does it support?

High school, club, college and beach presets, each with its own set targets, timeout count and length, substitution limit and side-switch rules. Anything unusual can be built as a custom rule set and saved for reuse.

Is it an official scoresheet?

No, and it does not pretend to be. It is a scoreboard for people watching or running a match, not a federation scoresheet, so it does not replace the official record kept at the scorer’s table.

Can other people in the gym follow the score?

Yes. Nearby Score shares the live score with other phones nearby, device to device over the local network. There is no server involved and nothing leaves the building, so it works in a gym with no usable signal.

What if I tap the wrong side?

Undo walks the match back rally by rally, and the score editor lets you correct a number directly. You can also lock the board so a phone in a pocket cannot score a point.

Does it work without internet?

Completely. Scoring, rules, history and the Lock Screen Live Activity all run on the device with no account and no connection. Optional iCloud backup keeps finished matches in your own private database when you turn it on.
